Slippery Rock Rockets (Slippery Rock, PA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Hickory Hornets (Hermitage, PA), 53-40 in a league bout.

With the victory, Slippery Rock upgrades its record to 13-7 on the campaign. The Rockets host Greenville (Greenville, PA) to play the Trojans in a District 10 Region 4 bout on Tuesday, February 13. The Trojans come into the bout with a record of 8-11. Greenville lost 82-70 in their recent league bout against Grove City (Grove City, PA)

Next up, the Hornets play the Sharon Tigers (Sharon, PA) in a District 10 Region 4 bout, on Tuesday, February 13. Hickory will attempt to upgrade on its 13-5 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 17-3 record after their 80-25 league win over Wilmington (New Wilmington, PA).
