Jersey Panthers (Jerseyville, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Waterloo Bulldogs (Waterloo, IL), 53-51 in a league bout.

With the win, Jersey upgrades its record to 11-18 on the season. The Panthers host Jacksonville (Jacksonville, IL) to clash with the Crimsons in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 13. The Crimsons go into the bout with a record of 11-18. Jacksonville lost 71-44 in their recent non-league bout against Quincy (Quincy, IL)

Next up, the Bulldogs clash with the Gibault Catholic Hawks (Waterloo, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 10. Waterloo will attempt to upgrade on its 15-14 season record. The Hawks go into the bout with a 16-12 record after their 67-52 non-league loss to Granite City (Granite City, IL).
