Junction Eagles (Junction, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Mason Punchers (Mason, TX), 40-31 in a league bout.

With the win, Junction upgrades its record to 16-12 on the season.

Next up, the Punchers clash with the Goldthwaite Eagles (Goldthwaite, TX) in a 2A Region IV District 29 bout, on Tuesday, February 13. Mason will attempt to upgrade on its 0-15 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 19-9 record after their 57-33 league win over Harper (Harper, TX).
