South San Antonio West Cougars (San Antonio, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Karnes City Badgers (Karnes City, TX), 46-39 in a league bout.

With the win, South San Antonio West upgrades its record to 12-13 on the season. The Cougars travel to Jourdanton (Jourdanton, TX) to clash with the Indians/Squaws in a 3A Region IV District 27 bout on Tuesday, February 13. The Indians/Squaws go into the bout with a record of 12-15. Jourdanton won 48-43 in their recent league bout against Poteet (Poteet, TX)

Next up, the Badgers clash with the Poth Pirates (Poth, TX) in a 3A Region IV District 27 bout, on Tuesday, February 13. Karnes City will attempt to upgrade on its 10-15 season record. The Pirates go into the bout with a 17-5 record after their 51-48 league loss to South San Antonio West (San Antonio, TX).
