The Northside Vikings basketball team scored 54 points and held the host Lafayette Christian Academy Knights to 50 in the Vikings league triumph on Friday.

The Vikings now sport a 19-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Thomas More for a 4A District 4 contest on Tuesday, February 13. Northside will meet a Cougars team coming off a 68-48 non-league win over Tioga (Tioga, LA). The Cougars record now stands at 25-5.

The Knights (22-6) will now prepare for their contest against Westgate (New Iberia, LA). The Tigers enter the 4A District 4 contest with a 3-17 record. In their last contest, Westgate was nudged by North Vermilion (Maurice, LA), 74-57, in a league contest.
