The Lamesa Tornadoes ran past the host Muleshoe Mules basketball team by a final score of 55-45 in Friday's league game.

In their next game, the Tornadoes face the Denver City Mustangs (Denver City, TX) in a 3A Region I District 3 battle, on Tuesday, February 13. Lamesa will attempt to improve on its 14-12 season record. The Mustangs come into the battle with a 19-15 record after their 77-26 league loss to Littlefield (Littlefield, TX).

The Mules (5-16) will now prepare for their battle against Friona (Friona, TX). The Chieftans come into the 3A Region I District 3 battle with a 14-17 record. In their last battle, Friona beat Lamesa (Lamesa, TX), 53-49, in a league battle.
