North Lamar Panthers (Paris, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Liberty-Eylau Leopards (Texarkana, TX), 55-48 in a league bout.

With the win, North Lamar upgrades its record to 11-16 on the season. The Panthers travel to Paris (Paris, TX) to play the Wildcats in a 4A Region II District 15 bout on Monday, February 12. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 19-9. Paris won 63-36 in their recent league bout against Pittsburg (Pittsburg, TX)

Next up, the Leopards play the Pleasant Grove Hawks (Texarkana, TX) in a 4A Region II District 15 bout, on Tuesday, February 13. Liberty-Eylau will attempt to upgrade on its 6-12 season record. The Hawks go into the bout with a 11-13 record after their 53-47 league win over Sulphur Springs (Sulphur Springs, TX).
