The Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears basketball team (Orange, TX), was nudged 58-53 in Friday's league battle with the visiting West Orange-Stark Mustangs (Orange, TX)
The Mustangs now possess a 16-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bridge City for a 4A Region III District 19 contest on Tuesday, February 13. West Orange-Stark will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 68-48 league win over Jasper (Jasper, TX). The Cardinals record now stands at 23-11.
The Bears (10-19) will now prepare for their contest against Silsbee (Silsbee, TX). The Tigers enter the 4A Region III District 19 contest with a 22-9 record. In their last contest, Silsbee nudged West Orange-Stark (Orange, TX), 112-57, in a league contest.
