Petersburg Vikings (Petersburg, WV) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Moorefield Yellow Jackets (Moorefield, WV), 64-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Petersburg upgrades its record to 13-4 on the season. The Vikings travel to Keyser (Keyser, WV) to play the Golden Tornado in a Potomac Valley AA bout on Tuesday, February 13. The Golden Tornado go into the bout with a record of 6-12. Keyser lost 71-39 in their recent league bout against Frankfort (Ridgeley, WV)

Next up, the Yellow Jackets play the Tucker County Mountain Lions (Hambleton, WV) in a Potomac Valley A bout, on Friday, February 16. Moorefield will attempt to upgrade on its 5-13 season record.
