The Waconia Wildcats (Waconia, MN) basketball felled the host New Prague Trojans (New Prague, MN), 88-70 in Friday's league test.

The Wildcats (16-4) will now prepare for their test against Jefferson (Bloomington, MN). The Jaguars go into the AAAA Section 3 test with a 3-17 record. In their last test, Jefferson went down by Benilde-St. Margaret's (St. Louis Park, MN), 101-68, in a non-league test.

The Trojans now own a 5-15 record. They play next when they host Orono for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 13. New Prague will encounter a Spartans squad coming off a 88-84 league loss to Chanhassen (Chanhassen, MN). The Spartans record now stands at 11-9.
