The Pawnee Black Bears topped the visiting Newkirk Tigers basketball team by a final score of 58-43 in Friday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Black Bears face the Tonkawa Buccaneers (Tonkawa, OK) in a non-league game, on Monday, February 12. Pawnee will attempt to move on its 11-10 season record. The Buccaneers enter the game with a 11-6 record after their 54-50 non-league win over Blackwell (Blackwell, OK).
With the defeat, Newkirk moves to 1-22 on the year.
