The Nocona Indians basketball squad scored 50 points and limited the host Petrolia Pirates to 34 in the Indians league win on Friday.

With the win, Nocona upgrades its record to 17-8 on the season. The Indians travel to Archer City (Archer City, TX) to clash with the Wildcats in a 2A Region II District 9 bout on Tuesday, February 13. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 11-18. Archer City won 48-40 in their recent league bout against Windthorst (Windthorst, TX)

Next up, the Pirates clash with the Seymour Panthers (Seymour, TX) in a 2A Region II District 9 bout, on Tuesday, February 13. Petrolia will attempt to upgrade on its 15-18 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 14-15 record after their 63-49 league win over Olney (Olney, TX).
