Texas High School Basketball - Polytechnic can't hold off North Side

The North Side Steers basketball team scored 40 points and held the visiting Polytechnic Parrots to 36 in the Steers league triumph on Friday.
The Steers now sport a 5-18 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Trimble Tech for a 5A Region I District 6 contest on Tuesday, February 13. North Side will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 89-41 league loss to Wyatt (Fort Worth, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-23.
The Parrots (5-17) will now prepare for their contest against South Hills (Fort Worth, TX). The Scorpions enter the 5A Region I District 6 contest with a 5-25 record. In their last contest, South Hills was nudged by Arlington Heights (Fort Worth, TX), 78-32, in a league contest.
