Winooski Spartans (Winooski, VT) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Richford Falcons (Richford, VT), 47-42 in a league bout.

With the victory, Winooski upgrades its record to 14-3 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Northfield (Northfield, VT) to play the Marauders in a Freelance bout on Monday, February 12. The Marauders come into the bout with a record of 0-19. Northfield lost 60-36 in their recent non-league bout against Danville (Danville, VT)

Next up, the Falcons play the Stowe Raiders (Stowe, VT) in a Mountain bout, on Monday, February 12. Richford will attempt to upgrade on its 15-4 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 5-11 record after their 52-32 non-league loss to Twinfield (Plainfield, VT).
