The Grants Pirates (Grants, NM) basketball crushed the visiting Valencia Jaguars (Los Lunas, NM), 61-28 in Friday's non-league test.
The Pirates (1-5) will now prepare for their test against St. Pius X (Albuquerque, NM). The Sartans go into the non-league test with a 11-4 record. In their last test, St. Pius X walloped Belen (Belen, NM), 72-45, in a non-league test.
The Jaguars now own a 1-11 record. They play next when they host St. Pius X for a non-league test on Friday, February 16. Valencia will encounter a Sartans squad coming off a 64-46 non-league win over Grants (Grants, NM). The Sartans record now stands at 12-4.
