River Mill Jaguars (Graham, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Ascend Leadership Aviators (Sanford, NC), 65-20 in a league bout.

With the win, River Mill upgrades its record to 10-14 on the season. The Jaguars host Chatham Charter (Siler City, NC) to clash with the Knights in a 1A Central Tar Heel bout on Tuesday, February 13. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 20-1. Chatham Charter won 77-6 in their recent league bout against Southern Wake Academy (Holly Springs, NC)

Next up, the Aviators clash with the Southern Lee Cavaliers (Sanford, NC) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 12. Ascend Leadership will attempt to upgrade on its 3-13 season record. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a 1-17 record after their 57-18 league loss to Hoke County (Raeford, NC).
