The Asheboro Blue Comets basketball team (Asheboro, NC), was toppled 68-48 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Montgomery Central Timberwolves (Troy, NC)

The Timberwolves now possess a 15-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Central Davidson for a 3A Mid-Piedmont battle on Tuesday, February 13. Montgomery Central will confront a Spartans team coming off a 55-39 league loss to Oak Grove (Winston-Salem, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 14-9.

The Blue Comets (3-17) will now prepare for their battle against Ledford (Thomasville, NC). The Panthers come into the 3A Mid-Piedmont battle with a 6-14 record. In their last battle, Ledford was toppled by North Davidson (Lexington, NC), 50-23, in a league battle.
