Onekama Portagers (Onekama, MI) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Benzie Central Huskies (Benzonia, MI), 53-41 in a league bout.

With the victory, Onekama upgrades its record to 10-5 on the campaign. The Portagers host Kingsley (Kingsley, MI) to play the Stags in a Northwest bout on Wednesday, February 14. The Stags come into the bout with a record of 12-5.

Next up, the Huskies play the Leland Comets (Leland, MI) in a Northwest bout, on Wednesday, February 14. Benzie Central will attempt to upgrade on its 8-7 season record. The Comets come into the bout with a 8-7 record after their 44-28 league loss to Glen Lake (Maple City, MI).
