Big Lake Hornets (Big Lake, MN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting St. Francis Fighting Saints (St. Francis, MN), 56-48 in a league bout.

With the win, Big Lake upgrades its record to 8-12 on the season. The Hornets travel to Monticello (Monticello, MN) to play the Magic in a AAA Section 5 bout on Tuesday, February 13. The Magic go into the bout with a record of 18-3. Monticello won 66-65 in their recent league bout against Princeton (Princeton, MN)

Next up, the Fighting Saints play the Monticello Magic (Monticello, MN) in a AAA Section 5 bout, on Friday, February 16. St. Francis will attempt to upgrade on its 9-13 season record.
