The Carlsbad Cavemen basketball team (Carlsbad, NM), was overwhelmed 58-22 in Friday's league battle with the host Hobbs Eagles (Hobbs, NM)
The Eagles now possess a 20-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Roswell for a 5A District 4 battle on Tuesday, February 13. Hobbs will confront a Coyotes team coming off a 55-51 league loss to Clovis (Clovis, NM). The Coyotes record now stands at 11-11.
The Cavemen (13-10) will now prepare for their battle against Clovis (Clovis, NM). The Wildcats come into the 5A District 4 battle with a 18-5 record. In their last battle, Clovis trounced Roswell (Roswell, NM), 55-51, in a league battle.
