The Tohatchi Cougars (Tohatchi, NM) basketball felled the visiting Crownpoint Eagles (Crownpoint, NM), 73-54 in Friday's league test.
The Cougars (17-4) will now prepare for their test against Thoreau (Thoreau, NM). The Hawks go into the 3A District 1 test with a 10-11 record. In their last test, Thoreau was beaten by Navajo Prep (Farmington, NM), 62-33, in a league test.
The Eagles now own a 6-13 record. They play next when they host Wingate for a 3A District 1 test on Monday, February 12. Crownpoint will encounter a Bears squad coming off a 66-46 league loss to Zuni (Zuni, NM). The Bears record now stands at 7-14.
