Douglas Trojans (Winston, OR) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting South Umpqua Lancers (Myrtle Creek, OR), 45-40 in a league bout.

With the win, Douglas upgrades its record to 4-19 on the season. The Trojans host Sutherlin (Sutherlin, OR) to clash with the Bulldogs in a 3A Far West bout on Tuesday, February 13. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 21-2. Sutherlin lost 53-49 in their recent non-league bout against Western Christian (Salem, OR)

Next up, the Lancers clash with the Rogue River Chieftains (Rogue River, OR) in a Freelance bout, on Tuesday, February 13. South Umpqua will attempt to upgrade on its 4-19 season record. The Chieftains go into the bout with a 6-10 record after their 63-10 non-league loss to North Valley (Grants Pass, OR).
