The Eastern Guilford Wildcats (Gibsonville, NC) basketball nipped the visiting Southern Guilford Storm (Greensboro, NC), 43-39 in Friday's league test.
The Wildcats (8-14) will now prepare for their test against Ben L. Smith (Greensboro, NC). The Golden Eagles go into the 3A Mid-State test with a 19-2 record. In their last test, Ben L. Smith got by High Point Central (High Point, NC), 72-8, in a league test.
The Storm now own a 6-16 record. They play next when they host Dudley for a 3A Mid-State test on Tuesday, February 13. Southern Guilford will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 55-49 league win over Rockingham County (Wentworth, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 15-7.
