Hills-Beaver Creek Patriots (Hills, MN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Edgerton Flying Dutchmen (Edgerton, MN), 50-41 in a league bout.

With the win, Hills-Beaver Creek upgrades its record to 14-9 on the season. The Patriots host Elkton/Lake Benton (Elkton, SD) to clash with the Elks in a non-league bout on Monday, February 12. The Elks go into the bout with a record of 11-6. Elkton/Lake Benton lost 66-60 in their recent non-league bout against Garretson (Garretson, SD)

Next up, the Flying Dutchmen clash with the Murray County Central Rebels (Slayton, MN) in a A Section 3 bout, on Thursday, February 15. Edgerton will attempt to upgrade on its 16-7 season record. The Rebels go into the bout with a 9-17 record after their 56-31 league loss to Southwest Minnesota Christian (Edgerton, MN).
