Elsberry Indians (Elsberry, MO) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Mark Twain Tigers (Center, MO), 54-37 in a league bout.

With the win, Elsberry upgrades its record to 15-7 on the season. The Indians travel to Montgomery County (Montgomery City, MO) to play the Wildcats in a Eastern Missouri bout on Monday, February 12. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 20-4. Montgomery County lost 41-35 in their recent non-league bout against Battle (Columbia, MO)

Next up, the Tigers play the North Callaway Thunderbirds (Kingdom City, MO) in a Eastern Missouri bout, on Tuesday, February 13. Mark Twain will attempt to upgrade on its 4-15 season record. The Thunderbirds go into the bout with a 16-8 record after their 59-36 non-league loss to South Harrison (Bethany, MO).
