In Friday's league outing, the Grants Pass Cavemen (Grants Pass, OR) basketball squad overwhelmed the host South Eugene Axe (Eugene, OR), by a count of 61-38.
The Cavemen (13-8) will now prepare for their outing against Jesuit (Portland, OR). The Crusaders go into the non-league outing with a 15-4 record. In their last outing, Jesuit smashed Mountainside (Beaverton, OR), 49-33, in a league outing.
The Axe now hold a 5-15 record. They play next when they host Willamette for a 6A Southwest outing on Tuesday, February 13. South Eugene will clash with a Wolverines squad coming off a 82-33 league win over Roseburg (Roseburg, OR). The Wolverines record now stands at 16-6.
