Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Maple River Eagles (Mapleton, MN) and the visiting Hankinson Pirates (Hankinson, ND), saw Maple River's basketball squad wallop Hankinson by a tally of 71-28.

With the victory, Maple River improves its record to 34-10 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Medford (Medford, MN) to play the Tigers in a AA Section 2 challenge on Friday, February 9. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 3-20. Medford lost 50-38 in their recent non-league challenge against Bethlehem Academy (Faribault, MN)

Next up, the Pirates play the Richland Colts (Colfax, ND) in a B District 1 challenge, on Saturday, February 10. Hankinson will attempt to improve on its 3-12 season record. The Colts come into the challenge with a 6-15 record after their 36-25 league loss to Wyndmere/Lidgerwood (Wyndmere, ND).
