Kansas High School Basketball - Hayden can't hold off Washburn Rural

The Washburn Rural Blues basketball team scored 46 points and held the visiting Hayden Wildcats to 44 in the Blues non-league triumph on Friday.
The Blues now sport a 11-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Topeka for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 13. Washburn Rural will battle a Trojans team coming off a 57-27 non-league loss to Emporia (Emporia, KS). The Trojans record now stands at 4-12.
The Wildcats (15-3) will now prepare for their contest against Junction City/St. Xavier (Junction City, KS). The Bluejays enter the non-league contest with a 1-10 record. In their last contest, Junction City/St. Xavier was nudged by Manhattan (Manhattan, KS), 61-18, in a non-league contest.
