Wessington Springs Spartans (Wessington Springs, SD) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Hitchcock-Tulare Patriots (Tulare, SD), 49-35 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Wessington Springs upgrades its record to 14-4 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Kimball/White Lake (Kimball, SD) to play the Wildkats in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 13. The Wildkats come into the bout with a record of 9-8. Kimball/White Lake won 52-45 in their recent non-league bout against Corsica/Stickney (Corsica, SD)

Next up, the Patriots play the Aberdeen Christian Knights (Aberdeen, SD) in a B Region 1 bout, on Monday, February 12. Hitchcock-Tulare will attempt to upgrade on its 5-13 season record. The Knights come into the bout with a 2-15 record after their 43-21 non-league loss to Roncalli (Aberdeen, SD).
