Hiwassee Dam Eagles (Murphy, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Nantahala Hawks (Topton, NC), 68-27 in a league bout.

With the victory, Hiwassee Dam upgrades its record to 18-4 on the campaign. The Eagles host Blue Ridge Early College (Cashiers, NC) to play the Bobcats in a 1A Little Smoky bout on Tuesday, February 13. The Bobcats come into the bout with a record of 1-20. Blue Ridge Early College lost 54-15 in their recent league bout against Highlands (Highlands, NC)

Next up, the Hawks play the Highlands Highlanders (Highlands, NC) in a 1A Little Smoky bout, on Tuesday, February 13. Nantahala will attempt to upgrade on its 2-14 season record. The Highlanders come into the bout with a 7-15 record after their 54-15 league win over Blue Ridge Early College (Cashiers, NC).
