The Hutchinson Salthawks basketball team scored 40 points and held the host Maize Eagles to 23 in the Salthawks non-league triumph on Friday.
The Salthawks now sport a 10-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Maize South for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 13. Hutchinson will battle a Mavericks team coming off a 51-32 non-league win over Andover Central (Andover, KS). The Mavericks record now stands at 16-1.
The Eagles (5-11) will now prepare for their match against Arkansas City (Arkansas City, KS). The Bulldogs enter the non-league match with a 6-10 record. In their last match, Arkansas City lost by Valley Center (Valley Center, KS), 45-31, in a non-league match.
