The Jones Trojans basketball team (Trenton, NC), was nudged 37-34 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Lejeune Devil Pups (Camp Lejeune, NC)

The Devil Pups now possess a 3-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Southside for a 1A/2A Coastal Plains battle on Friday, February 16. Lejeune will confront a Seahawks team coming off a 52-21 league win over Jones (Trenton, NC). The Seahawks record now stands at 14-9.

The Trojans (3-19) will now prepare for their battle against Pamlico County (Bayboro, NC). The Hurricanes come into the 1A/2A Coastal Plains battle with a 11-12 record. In their last battle, Pamlico County was nudged by Northside - Pinetown (Pinetown, NC), 54-50, in a league battle.
