Lakeland Thunderbirds (Minocqua, WI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Rhinelander Hodags (Rhinelander, WI), 60-34 in a league bout.

With the win, Lakeland upgrades its record to 20-2 on the season. The Thunderbirds travel to Xavier (Appleton, WI) to clash with the Hawks in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 10. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 16-6. Xavier won 75-20 in their recent league bout against Green Bay East (Green Bay, WI)

Next up, the Hodags clash with the Shawano Community Hawks (Shawano, WI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 13. Rhinelander will attempt to upgrade on its 17-6 season record. The Hawks go into the bout with a 16-7 record after their 63-54 league win over Seymour (Seymour, WI).
