Mendon Hornets (Mendon, MI) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting St. Philip Catholic Central Fighting Tigers (Battle Creek, MI), 69-40 in a league bout.

With the victory, Mendon upgrades its record to 14-2 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Tekonsha (Tekonsha, MI) to play the Indians in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 13. The Indians come into the bout with a record of 5-10. Tekonsha won 45-29 in their recent league bout against North Adams-Jerome (North Adams, MI)

Next up, the Fighting Tigers play the Climax-Scotts Panthers (Climax, MI) in a Southern Central bout, on Monday, February 12. St. Philip Catholic Central will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 10-4 record after their 58-34 league loss to Colon (Colon, MI).
