Slinger Owls (Slinger, WI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Nicolet Knights (Glendale, WI), 63-43 in a league bout.

With the win, Slinger upgrades its record to 7-15 on the season. The Owls travel to West Bend West (West Bend, WI) to play the Spartans in a North Shore bout on Tuesday, February 13. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 1-21. West Bend West lost 62-43 in their recent non-league bout against Cedar Grove-Belgium (Cedar Grove, WI)

Next up, the Knights play the Whitefish Bay Blue Dukes (Whitefish Bay, WI) in a North Shore bout, on Tuesday, February 13. Nicolet will attempt to upgrade on its 6-16 season record. The Blue Dukes go into the bout with a 16-5 record after their 82-39 league loss to Homestead (Mequon, WI).
