The Pittsburg Dragons (Pittsburg, KS) basketball nipped the visiting Parsons Vikings (Parsons, KS), 49-48 in Friday's non-league test.

The Dragons (3-9) will now prepare for their test against Chanute (Chanute, KS). The Blue Comets go into the Southeast Kansas test with a 5-10 record. In their last test, Chanute was tipped by Labette County (Altamont, KS), 56-14, in a league test.

The Vikings now own a 10-7 record. They play next when they travel to Field Kindley for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 13. Parsons will encounter a Golden Tornado squad coming off a 50-24 non-league loss to Independence (Independence, KS). The Golden Tornado record now stands at 5-5.
