Westminster Owls (Westminster, MD) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Winters Mill Falcons (Westminster, MD), 50-43 in a league bout.

With the win, Westminster upgrades its record to 17-5 on the season. The Owls travel to Eastern Tech (Baltimore, MD) to play the Mavericks in a non-league bout on Monday, February 12. The Mavericks go into the bout with a record of 6-11. Eastern Tech lost 33-13 in their recent league bout against Catonsville (Baltimore, MD)

Next up, the Falcons play the South Hagerstown Rebels (Hagerstown, MD) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 12. Winters Mill will attempt to upgrade on its 0-15 season record. The Rebels go into the bout with a 0-17 record after their 58-24 league loss to Williamsport (Williamsport, MD).
