In Friday's non-league challenge, the Alpena Wildcats (Alpena, MI) ice hockey team bounced the visiting Petoskey Northmen (Petoskey, MI), by a margin of 7-2.
The Wildcats now possess a 14-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Traverse City West for a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 10.
The Northmen (11-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Traverse City Central (Traverse City, MI). The Trojans enter the Great Northern challenge with a 8-12 record.
