North Carolina High School Basketball - South Caldwell edges Alexander Central

February 9, 2024: Hudson, NC 28638

The South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC) basketball nipped the visiting Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC), 46-41 in Friday's league test.

The Spartans (10-8) will now prepare for their test against Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC). The Huskies go into the test with a 6-10 record. In their last test, Ashe County was tipped by Freedom (Morganton, NC), 67-34, in a league test.

The Cougars now own a 8-11 record. They play next when they travel to Hibriten for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 13. Alexander Central will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 63-52 non-league loss to Watauga (Boone, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 0-11.
