The Croatan Cougars basketball team (Newport, NC), was toppled 44-35 in Friday's non-league battle with the host White Oak Vikings (Jacksonville, NC)
The Vikings now possess a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Swansboro for a battle on Tuesday, February 13. White Oak will confront a Pirates team coming off a 44-42 league win over West Carteret (Morehead City, NC). The Pirates record now stands at 14-3.
The Cougars (8-9) will now prepare for their battle against Richlands (Richlands, NC). The Wildcats come into the non-league battle with a 1-17 record. In their last battle, Richlands was toppled by Dixon (Holly Ridge, NC), 45-34, in a non-league battle.
