The Swansboro Pirates basketball team scored 44 points and held the host West Carteret Patriots to 42 in the Pirates league triumph on Friday.
The Pirates now sport a 14-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host White Oak for a contest on Tuesday, February 13. Swansboro will meet a Vikings team coming off a 44-35 non-league win over Croatan (Newport, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 10-5.
The Patriots (5-12) will now prepare for their contest against Dixon (Holly Ridge, NC). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 9-8 record. In their last contest, Dixon nudged Richlands (Richlands, NC), 45-34, in a non-league contest.
