Thornton Wildcats (Harvey, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Thornwood Thunderbirds (South Holland, IL), 55-43 in a league bout.

With the win, Thornton upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Wildcats host Crete-Monee (Crete, IL) to play the Warriors in a bout on Tuesday, February 13. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 2-2.

Next up, the Thunderbirds play the Kankakee Kays (Kankakee, IL) in a bout, on Monday, February 12. Thornwood will attempt to upgrade on its 11-16 season record.
