In Friday's league battle, the visiting Saginaw Rough Riders soccer squad scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Azle Hornets.
The Rough Riders (7-6) will now prepare for their battle against Granbury (Granbury, TX). The Pirates come into the 5A Region 1 District 5 battle with a 9-5 record. In their last battle, Granbury was nudged by Northwest (Justin, TX), 5-1, in a league battle.
The Hornets (4-8) will now prepare for their battle against Aledo (Aledo, TX). The Bearcats come into the 5A Region 1 District 5 battle with a 8-3 record. In their last battle, Aledo was nudged by Brewer (Fort Worth, TX), 3-2, in a league battle.
