Bullard Panthers (Bullard, TX) fans were thrilled Friday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Cumberland Academy Knights (Tyler, TX), 2-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Panthers confront the Athens Hornets (Athens, TX) in a 4A Region 2 District 14 challenge, on Tuesday, February 13. Bullard will attempt to better on its 6-2 season record. The Hornets enter the challenge with a 6-5 record after their 2-1 league loss to Van (Van, TX).

The Knights now have a 5-7 record. They take the field next when they host Chapel Hill for a 4A Region 2 District 14 challenge on Tuesday, February 13. Cumberland Academy will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 4-2 league win over Mineola (Mineola, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-5.
