Bishop McNamara Mustangs (Forestville, MD) boosters left the game satisfied Sunday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Gonzaga Eagles (Washington, DC), 63-60 in a league match.
With the victory, Bishop McNamara upgrades its record to 12-11 on the year. The Mustangs host Paul VI (Chantilly, VA) to face the Panthers in a VISAA Division I match on Tuesday, February 11. The Panthers enter the match with a record of 20-5. Paul VI won 52-41 in their recent league match against Bishop O'Connell (Arlington, VA)
The Eagles now sport a 23-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to DeMatha for a Washington Catholic match on Tuesday, February 11. Gonzaga will face a Stags squad coming off a 87-65 league win over Our Lady of Good Counsel (Olney, MD). The Stags record now stands at 20-5.
