In Sunday's non-league contest, the host Viborg/Hurley Cougars basketball team scored a close 40-35 win over the McCook Central/Montrose Fighting Cougars.
The Cougars (12-6) will now prepare for their contest against Parker (Parker, SD). The Pheasants come into the non-league contest with a 0-15 record. In their last contest, Parker was tipped by Lennox (Lennox, SD), 54-22, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Fighting Cougars battle the West Central Trojans (Hartford, SD) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, February 11. McCook Central/Montrose will attempt to better on its 9-9 season record. The Trojans come into the contest with a 8-8 record after their 67-29 non-league win over Webster (Webster, SD).
