The Vestaburg Wolverines basketball team scored 51 points and restricted the host Sacred Heart Academy Irish to 48 in the Wolverines league victory on Tuesday.

The Wolverines now sport a 10-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Merrill for a Mid-State contest on Thursday, March 3. Vestaburg will battle a Vandals team coming off a 58-57 non-league win over St. Louis (St. Louis, MI). The Vandals record now stands at 3-15.

The Irish (8-7) will now prepare for their contest against St. Charles (St. Charles, MI). The Bulldogs come into the Mid-State contest with a 5-13 record. In their last contest, St. Charles was nudged by New Lothrop (New Lothrop, MI), 76-21, in a non-league contest.
