The Chatham Central Bears baseball team scored 9 runs and limited the host Asheboro Blue Comets to 2 in the Bears non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Bears (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Union Pines (Cameron, NC). The Vikings go into the non-league match with a 2-0 record. In their last match, Union Pines edged Gray's Creek (Hope Mills, NC), 6-1, in a non-league match.
The Blue Comets (0-1) will now prepare for their match against Jordan-Matthews (Siler City, NC). The Jets go into the non-league match with a 0-2 record. In their last match, Jordan-Matthews was overwhelmed by Providence Grove (Franklinville, NC), 15-1, in a non-league match.
