Bandys Trojans (Catawba, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting St. Stephens Indians (Hickory, NC), 5-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Trojans now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Foard for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 3. Bandys will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 9-4 non-league loss to Burns (Lawndale, NC). The Tigers record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, St. Stephens falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Indians host Maiden (Maiden, NC) to battle the Blue Devils in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 3. The Blue Devils enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Maiden lost 9-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC)
