North Carolina High School Baseball - Newton-Conover loses to Hickory

In Wednesday's non-league game, the host Hickory Red Tornadoes baseball team scored a nice 9-0 victory over the Newton-Conover Red Devils.
The Red Tornadoes (1-0) will now prepare for their game against South Caldwell (Hudson, NC). The Spartans go into the non-league game with a 1-0 record. In their last game, South Caldwell overcame Cox Mill (Concord, NC), 4-3, in a non-league game.
The Red Devils (0-2) will now prepare for their game against West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC). The Warriors go into the Catawba Valley Athletic 2A game with a 0-2 record. In their last game, West Caldwell was overwhelmed by West Iredell (Statesville, NC), 11-1, in a non-league game.
